This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Jack was absolutely amazing! He was taking care of our table, and he was incredibly fast, attentive, friendly, and had such great instincts when it came to taking care of us. Honestly, he was one of the best servers I’ve ever had! The food came out surprisingly quickly, and everything was fresh, clean, and delicious. The quality of the food was excellent, and we really enjoyed our entire experience. Jack definitely made our visit even better. We truly appreciated his wonderful service and will definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve been here four times now, which is probably the best compliment I can give. When Mo Ran Gak is at its best, it’s one of my favorite Korean restaurants in Southern California. When it’s off, the inconsistency keeps it from being a five star experience. The first visit was outstanding. The galbi was perfectly seasoned, not overly sweet, not overly salty, with great caramelization and tenderness. The naengmyeon was exactly what you hope for. Icy cold with crunchy ice still floating in the broth, crisp vegetables and incredibly refreshing. The second visit was a completely different experience. The galbi was noticeably drier and under seasoned and the naengmyeon arrived only slightly cold. The ice had already melted, which takes away one of the best parts of great naengmyeon. The slices of beef that come with the noodles have also been consistently dry. That may be traditional, but it’s never been the highlight of the dish. The service is probably the weakest part of the restaurant. Nobody has ever been outright rude, but it’s difficult to get someone’s attention and the staff generally feels indifferent. You can tell they’re busy, but hospitality often feels like an afterthou

Every time I visit my daughter in Garden Grove, our family makes sure to stop by Mo Ran Gak. We always order their delicious fresh Galbi (marinated beef short ribs), a variety of tasty side dishes (banchan), and their cold noodles (naengmyeon). The food is consistently amazing, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is always so friendly. I highly recommend this place!"

I don't even know where to start- an AMAZING dining experience from start to finish EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I really should have written this review sooner. Each visit, once we ordered, our servers did EVERYTHING, so if you’re new to this type of dining. Just bring your appetite, great company if you can, or just enjoy their amazing feast all your own. Located in a shopping center with ample parking, whether by the market or by Paris Baguette, it's convenient. Expect a wait as they're usually busy anytime I've been here for dinner with a group of 6 of us. The wait most times for us have been no more than 15 min. I'd wait an hour easy- if absolutely necessary. I know I won't leave hungry nor disappointed. Favorites/ Highlights (kept a list, because there is so much to remember!) The way their staff bring everything out, banchan, and the different t entrees, it's like a symphony... very efficient and so well choreographed. Diverse selection of banchan includes the soybean sprouts, acorn jelly, potato salad, kimchi, squash, squid, lettuce (varies each. visit if I recall correctly, but always a delicious variety Banchan include their signature fried mung bean pancake (BUT YOU STI

We’ve been at many Korean BBQ restaurants, but Mo Ran Gak is our top list favorite, from food to service. Banchans are fresh and change mostly daily except the basic banchans like kimchi and cucumber, they are different from other restaurants, significantly home made and delicate, seasoned well balanced. From cold to hot soup I guess every dish is well deserved to try. My unforgettable impression of Mo Ran Gak restaurant is the marinated Short ribs, the beef is literally melting in my mouth, the meat is still juicy, full flavored and melting. Besides food the service and staff are super nice and careful. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Korean cuisine.
